夏至 / SUMMER SOLSTICE
A beach bbq potluck to close out the 春游 / FIELD TRIPS series! I’ll be cooking dishes inspired by the season and the landscape, such as whole lamb shoulder marinated in pine honey and roasted in a nest of cherry, rose, mugwort, juniper, and bayberry (above). Tickets are $30 if you want to just come and eat/vibe, and they are FREE if you’d like to contribute a wild-foraged dish of your own. Please email/DM me if you’re feeling so inspired.
This event will take place on a beach in the Rockaways that is accessible by subway. The exact location will be shared after signup.
This workshop is part of 春游 / FIELD TRIPS, a spring foraging and cooking workshop series themed around plants from China that have naturalized in New York City - and all the questions they engender. Foraging workshops are Saturday, cooking on Sunday. See Events page for full series calendar.
